Of course, we all have days when we whine about how difficult our lives are, even if the issue that is upsetting us may not be significant enough to darken our spirits and for us to complain.<\/p>\n

We must be grateful for what we have before we lose it since there will always be others whose lives are harder than ours.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the news reports about the difficult lives of so many\u00a0children are the saddest thing we can watch. A letter from a child who managed to touch everyone\u2019s hearts was posted on Facebook by the group \u201cDreamcatchers for Abused Children.\u201d<\/p>\n

This group works to assist kids whose families have harmed them in various ways.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, there are children who are abused by their parents all over the world. This organization seeks to save\u00a0these kids from their\u00a0households and place them in a center where they may receive the love, care, and attention they require.<\/p>\n

This is the story of an Oklahoma boy who suffered maltreatment at the hands of his biological parents. The kid endured years of beatings and hunger deprivation. His parents were heavy\u00a0drinkers and didn\u2019t give a damn about what happened to their\u00a0son.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this guy never experienced what it was like to have a happy childhood and to be loved and cared for by his family.<\/p>\n

The kid was removed by the authorities and brought to the group \u201cDreamcatchers for Abused Children\u201d after neighbors reported the parents to the\u00a0police<\/a>. The agency swiftly located him in an adoptive family, ensuring that the boy would finally enjoy a normal\u00a0childhood and be happy.<\/p>\n

He sent a message to his future parents after learning that he will have a new\u00a0family. The boy listed his wishes for his new family in the message.<\/p>\n

Here is the note:<\/p>\n

\u201cThings I want in my family.<\/p>\n

I want food and water<\/p>\n

I want you to never hit me.<\/p>\n

I want our house to have running water and lights.<\/p>\n

I want to love.<\/p>\n

Mom and Dad will never fight.<\/p>\n

No drugs in our home.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t kill my pets.<\/p>\n

Help with school and homework.<\/p>\n

Nice clean clothes.<\/p>\n

No lice. No bugs in the house.<\/p>\n

Clean house.<\/p>\n

Clean bed with covers.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t sell my toys.<\/p>\n

I want to be treated fairly.<\/p>\n

Mom and Dad should never get drunk.<\/p>\n

I hope for a TV in the house.<\/p>\n

Let me keep my school stuff.<\/p>\n

Nice shoes.<\/p>\n

My own comb soap. Nice house and safe and heater coat.<\/p>\n

A toothbrush. \u201d<\/p>\n

When we witness situations like these that other people and kids go through, we should be appreciative of what we have.<\/p>\n

Additionally, we should be aware that we have the power to influence others, and we need to take each and\u00a0every opportunity to help. A seemingly insignificant action on our part might have a profound impact on the person sitting next to us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
