Donald Trump and Melania\u2019s first stay at the White House was controversial for many. Meanwhile, when they left, many reports of what happened between the two, including fights, came to light. The state of their marriage has been discussed many times, and even though Melania has renegotiated her prenup, the two are staying together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Melania and her husband have been quite harsh towards one another several times. And now, Donald Trump has revealed that one time when her wife brutally mocked him after he had trouble leaving the stage after a speech.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

They met for the first time during the New York Fashion Show in 1998, when the wealthy real-estate mogul had just divorced his second wife, Marla Maples. Donald was at the event with a date. However, as soon as he saw Melania, he wanted to be with her instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cI went crazy. I was actually supposed to meet somebody else. There was this great supermodel sitting next to Melania,\u201d Donald Trump\u00a0told Larry King<\/a>\u00a0in 2005. \u201cThey said, \u2018Look, there\u2019s so and so.\u2019 I said, \u2018Forget about her. Who is the one on the left? And it was Melania.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it took a while before they began dating, they became a couple and later married. No one could\u2019ve imagined the two becoming president and first lady years later.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump and Melania\u2019s tenure at the White House was just like any other administration, filled with ups and downs. While living at the White House, some things about the couple\u2019s relationship were never supposed to reach the public.<\/p>\n

However, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham revealed several details about Donald and Melania\u2019s relationship while staying at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And one involved the president screaming at his wife.<\/p>\n

In her book\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0Take Your Questions Now<\/em>, Stephanie Grisham recalled one specific moment when Trump went mad at his wife \u2013 and then-First Lady\u00a0\u2013 Melania Trump.<\/p>\n

Melania Trump\u2019s infamous jacket incident<\/h2>\n

On her way to a migrant housing facility in Texas in June 2018, Melania wore a jacket with the text\u00a0\u201c\u2018 I REALLY DON\u2019T\u00a0CARE<\/em>, DO U?\u2019<\/p>\n

Grisham \u2013 who also worked in the First Lady\u2019s office \u2013\u00a0writes that she didn\u2019t notice the message on Melania\u2019s jacket. At the time, Trump and his administration were under heavy criticism because of their policy of separating migrant children from their family members.<\/p>\n

Melania\u2019s visit was seen as an opportunity for the administration to improve its image on the issue. In the end, however, it actually abandoned the program.<\/p>\n

When Melania returned from Texas, the President was furious. Donald Trump is said to have summoned his wife to the Oval Office and yelled at her for wearing the tasteless jacket.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe yelled and asked \u201cwhat the [expletive]\u201d they thought they were doing,\u201d Grisham wrote in her memoir, as reported by The Washington Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s obvious I didn\u2019t wear the jacket for the children,\u201d she said. \u201cI wore the jacket to go on the plane and off the plane. And it was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grisham \u2013 who also worked in the First Lady\u2019s office \u2013\u00a0told more stories about Melania in her memoir. She claimed that some of the staff working for the Secret Service in the White House didn\u2019t quite like their First Lady\u2019s approach to the job.<\/p>\n

The Secret Service gave Melania Trump a cruel nickname<\/h2>\n

The First Lady\u2019s office is located in the East Wing and is part of the Executive Office of the President. However, Melania wasn\u2019t thrilled with the place.<\/p>\n

As reported by\u00a0CNN<\/a>, Grisham claims that she only saw Melania at the office suite \u201ca handful of times\u201d during her four-year tenure at the White House.<\/p>\n

\u201cMrs. Trump was working from home long before the country was,\u201d Grisham said, referring to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen warranted, we would have in-person meetings, but those generally took place in the Map Room across from the elevators to the residence. There we would plan out schedules, respond to pressing queries, and discuss goals. Other than that, the first lady kept to her rooms in the residence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead of working at the First Lady\u2019s office in the East Wing, Melania Trump spent much of her time in the executive residence. Grisham writes that her staff rarely heard from her before 10 a.m. most days, and instead, she focused on \u201cself-care,\u201d which included many hours of sleep.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe believed that relaxation was central to one\u2019s beauty regimen, as were, of course, spa treatments and facials.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Secret Service nicknamed her Rapunzel because \u201cshe remained in her tower, never descending.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania Trump has decided not to be in the courtroom with her husband. Ever since she moved to the White House, the former first lady\u2019s priority has been to protect their son, Barron Trump, from media scrutiny.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelania is good at taking care of business at hand, which includes her own life, the life of her son, and the lives of her close family members,\u201d a source told\u00a0People Magazine<\/a>\u00a0in August last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would not stand in a circle of people she knows and openly comment on the lawsuits or the mug shot. She will have her way of dealing with this and anything else publicly when she feels like it,\u201d the source added. \u201cRemember, Melania is a mom with a not-yet-adult son to protect. A mug shot that everyone is talking about is just one more issue to wade through.\u201d<\/p>\n

In March, Donald Trump explained that Melania Trump hasn\u2019t been on the campaign trail with him because of Barron.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer life revolves around that boy, [he\u2019s] so important to her. At the same time, it also revolves around our country and the success of our country. She\u2019s raised a lot of money for charity.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cShe\u2019s a private person. It\u2019s funny; she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She\u2019s going to be out a lot, not because she likes doing it, but she likes the result. She wants to see this country really succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[The people] love the fact that she\u2019s not out there so much. You know, a lot of first ladies will go out. They want to be everywhere. They get angry at their husband because he\u2019s not introducing them. If I didn\u2019t introduce Melania she\u2019d be very happy about it. She\u2019s just a different kind of a person. Donald Trump concluded, \u201cShe\u2019s gonna be out quite a bit, and she loves his country, and she wants a great, and she says hello.\u201d<\/p>\n

Melania Trump has been staying outside of the spotlight for a good while. There have been many rumors about their marriage not being at its best. And one time, the former first lady even mocked Donald after he struggled to find the exit from the stage at a rally.<\/p>\n

During a Wildwood, New Jersey rally, Donald Trump told the crowd that he no longer does an impression of Joe Biden \u2013 because Melania thought it was really him.<\/p>\n

Trump recalled, \u201cI called my wife [Melania Trump], the great first lady\u2026I called our first lady \u2013 I said, \u2018First Lady, how great a speech was that? \u2018\u201d<\/p>\n
