There are many celebrities who do their utmost to\u00a0give\u00a0off the impression that they\u2019re still the down-to-earth, everyday men or women they were before they found fame, but few are half so convincing as\u00a0Jennifer Garner<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Remember the time\u00a0when the actress saved her family farm by buying it<\/a>\u00a0in 2017 to preserve her history? Or how about more recently, when she opened up on wanting\u00a0to\u00a0\u201cnormalize looking normal\u201d after a pregnancy?<\/a><\/p>\n

My point is, that Garner is a good egg, a kind soul, and a woman many people feel they can relate to.<\/p>\n

This is why a part of me isn\u2019t all that surprised that she\u2019s getting attention for the adorable gift she purchased for her father\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

Garner\u2019s father, who will turn 85 on September 21, has always played a key role in his daughter\u2019s life \u2013 it\u2019s clear to anyone who knows anything about the 51-year-old actress that she shares a deep bond with her parents.<\/p>\n

In order to surprise her dad with a nostalgic birthday gift, Garner traveled back to her hometown of Charleston, West Virginia for a fleeting visit.<\/p>\n

And the\u00a0Elektra\u00a0<\/em>star had planned something rather special for her father; a ride in the car of his childhood, from all the way back in 1948.<\/p>\n

\u201cDad\u2019s early birthday surprise: a ride in his childhood car \u2014 1948 Studebaker Champion \u2014 with kind and generous David King,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Garner wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>, along with a photo of the father-daughter duo posing next to the vehicle in question.<\/p>\n
