The building was owned by the Hoffmann Family of Companies, a Florida company started by David and Jerri Hoffmann, who are from Missouri. The Hoffmanns bought local wineries and restaurants with the goal of making the area like Napa Valley in the Midwest, according to the Post-Dispatch.<\/p>\n The company said in a statement Friday, \u201cOur hearts are with the member of our team and their family who lost their children and grandchildren.\u201d \u201cAs family-owned business, we care about our community and want to help our employees.\u201d<\/p>\n The house was next to the Defiance RoadHouse, a bar and grill run by the boys\u2019 mother, Turpiano, the news source said.<\/p>\n Dan Tripp, co-owner of Good News Brewing in Defiance, told the Post-Dispatch that Turpiano\u2019s mother, Jennifer Ham, had also run the for years.<\/p>\n Tripp set up a GoFundMe page for the family, and as of Monday morning, it had raised more than $145,000. He said that both women are part of the Defiance Merchants Association, a group that helps the local wine business.<\/p>\n They say, \u201cIf you ever met the boys at the Defiance Roadhouse, the Christmas Festival, or the St. Patrick\u2019s Day parade, you will never forget how excited they were about life and how much joy they brought to everyone around them.\u201d<\/p>\n The family lost their home and everything they owned, and they will have to pay for two funerals. It says, \u201cAlong with your money, the family will need your prayers and emotional support as they grieve the loss of two special little boys.\u201d \u201cThose boys were happy.\u201d They were smart.
