Despite all of that effort, he hasn\u2019t been able to get it off the market since 2021.<\/p>\n

When he bought the property in 2019, he was planning to make it his family\u2019s base camp \u2013 but soon realized that it was too far from his first choice of school for his son Eric, whom he shares with fianc\u00e9e\u00a0Lauren Silverman<\/a>, 45.<\/p>\n

Now the music mogul has decided to rent it out instead.<\/p>\n

A source previously said: \u201cSimon<\/a>\u00a0spent around \u00a31 million tailoring it to meet his and his family\u2019s needs, so he was definitely planning to make it his base in the UK.<\/p>\n

\u2018However, when he realized that London traffic could make the relatively short trip so arduous, he determined it wasn\u2019t the place for him and put it on the market.\u201d<\/p>\n
