We all know and love Jennifer Garner for the kind, down-to-earth soul she\u2019s proven herself to be time and again over the course of her career.<\/p>\n

Whether it\u2019s saving\u00a0her family\u2019s farm to preserve her ancestral history<\/a>, doing her utmost to\u00a0normalize postpartum baby bumps<\/a>, or simply\u00a0demonstrating that developing wrinkles and folds<\/a>\u00a0as you grow older is\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>an issue, the\u00a0Elektra\u00a0<\/em>star has a track record that sets her apart from most of her illustrious peers.<\/p>\n

Only last week did Garner\u00a0make headlines for gifting<\/a>\u00a0her father a ride in his childhood car to celebrate his 85th birthday. Now she finds her name doing the rounds again, though this time it\u2019s for a gesture that speaks to the seflessness and thoughtfulness of her soul.<\/p>\n

As per reports,<\/a>\u00a0Garner was in a Santa Monica Beach carpark earlier this week when she came across a homeless man in obvious need of a helping hand.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s said that the actress rolled down the window of her car to talk to the down-on-his-luck stranger. Not only did she give the wheelchair-bound man a bag containing essential items, but she also had the presence of mind to notice that he was barefooted.<\/p>\n

Upon realizing this, Garner then got out of her car, crouched down beside the man, and began putting socks on his feet.<\/p>\n

Not content to stop there, the\u00a013 Going on 30\u00a0<\/em>star proceeded to pull the shoes off her own feet and attempt to give them to the man too.<\/p>\n

It soon became apparent that the shoes didn\u2019t fit, but Garner, undeterred, approached a nearby paparazzo \u2013 who had been trailing her \u2013 and asked if he could help.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat size feet do you have?\u201d she asked,\u00a0as per Page Six<\/a>. \u201cCan I buy your shoes for him? He needs a shoe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The photographer asked what size the man needed, with Garner informing him that the homeless man was \u201c10 and a half.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I\u2019m 11! Want me to give it to him? I can give it to him,\u201d the paparazzo responded. To his credit, the photographer refused payment from Garner and gave up his shoes freely.<\/p>\n

Of course, Garner\u2019s generosity likely won\u2019t come as a surprise to anyone who\u2019s followed her life and career closely. The actress has long been an advocate of helping others in need, having partnered with Save the Children over a decade ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile I did not grow up poor I was surrounded by it and I always said I was a generation and a holler removed from rural poverty,\u201d she once told\u00a0Southern Living<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I went looking and ended up with Save the Children. Because they are definitely the leaders in helping kids in rural America.\u201d<\/p>\n
