After falling from his e-bike in Malibu in 2020, the 63-year-old star met the same end when pedaling around London in early 2022.<\/p>\n Simon Cowell Has Had A Tough Few Years, And They Have Changed His Life<\/p>\n In a promotional piece for the upcoming 18th season of America\u2019s Got Talent, Simon was asked about how these losses have impacted his view on life.<\/p>\n When asked how he felt physically before to the catastrophes, he responded, \u201cwasn\u2019t in the best shape before the mishaps, so they were far from terrific, rather quite terrible.\u201d I didn\u2019t realize how unfit I was until the mending process.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a revelation, a true god\u2019s moment!\u201d he said. Simon saw his continuous enthusiasm for riding and expressed his belief that everything happens for a purpose.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not giving up on my bike,\u201d he screamed, much to the amusement of his fellow players. I just can\u2019t get enough of these incredible innovations.<\/p>\n Simon was rushed to the hospital after the second incident, when he was discovered to have a fractured arm and a concussion.<\/p>\n Although the second incident was not as severe as the first, it nevertheless resulted in his fracturing his back and requiring him to wear a wrist brace for several months. Following these episodes, Simon altered his lifestyle, mostly for the benefit of his nine-year-old son Eric. Lauren Silverman, Simon\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, provided as inspiration.<\/p>\n He described dealing with the aftermath from his e-bike accident in an interview with The Sun in April of last year.<\/p>\n He went on to say, \u201cI was in such a terrible place when I fractured my back that I considered going to therapy for the first time in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n I was unhappy since I couldn\u2019t explain my feelings to Eric. I wondered when I\u2019d be able to continue activities with him, such as football and walks.<\/p>\n Eric was born on February 14, 2014 to Simon and Lauren. Following his bike crashes, the TV personality said that his youngster had given him a hilarious new moniker.<\/p>\n The Britain\u2019s Got Talent judge said to Entertainment Tonight that he felt \u201cembarrassed\u201d after watching the episodes at home.<\/p>\n Simon\u2019s back is kept together by metal rods and screws following surgery, but he found solace in the fact that his child compared him to the well-known superhero Iron Man.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I reunited with my family,\u201d Simon recounted proudly, \u201cEric said, \u2018Dad, you look like Iron Man.\u2019\u201d \u201cYeah, I\u2019m like Iron Man,\u201d I chuckled.Wikimedia Commons is the source of the image.<\/p>\n Simon has laughed about his struggles since then, even downplaying the more serious first wounds he sustained while working on the AGT stage in June 2021.<\/p>\n Terry, being the curious one, asked Simon if he could ever picture himself executing such perilous gymnastics during a display of a kid-friendly Shaolin Kung Fu show.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter hurting my back, I got to the point where I would go around the garden with Eric, believing it was a fantastic accomplishment,\u201d Simon laughed back to the duo.
