Melissa Sloan, a 46-year-old woman from Wales, has no remorse for her 26-year destructive relationship with a tattoo machine. Since the age of 20, she has been receiving tattoos. Sloan now acknowledges that she is ostracized by society. Despite her realization that the more she attains, the more challenging life becomes, she continues to persist.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is akin to the addiction that occurs when one consumes a cigarette or beverage.\u201d I am unable to halt the process at this time; it is addictive, at least for me. Sloan stated, \u201cI am unable to stop.\u201d She also mentioned that she acquired her own equipment after tattoo parlors began to refuse her services due to her \u201cincapacity.\u201d She continued, \u201cI keep the [tattoo] gun in the boot of my car, and I will retrieve it from any location.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sloan, despite her inability to secure employment, continues to have her beau administer three \u201cprison-style\u201d tattoos to her every week, resulting in a somewhat haphazard ink job on her face and body. She possesses over 800 tattoos.<\/p>\n
