They first met on the set of Family Ties, where Pollan portrayed the girlfriend of Fox\u2019s Alex P. Keaton. They reconnected and began dating on the set of Bright Lights, Big City.<\/p>\n<p>On July 16, 1988, the pair married. Their four children are Sam, a male, Aquinnah and Schuyler, twin daughters, and Esm\u00e9, a daughter.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3374\" src=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-266.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 714px) 100vw, 714px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-266.png 714w, https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-266-225x300.png 225w\" alt=\"\" width=\"714\" height=\"952\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Fox\u2019s life took a gloomy turn in 1991, just a few years after his marriage, when he discovered he had Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Fox said on The Late Show With David Letterman, \u201cIt was scary.\u201d \u201cIt was the last thing I expected to hear when I was 29 years old.\u201d I believed I had damaged my shoulder when executing some trick since my pinkie twitched. \u201cYou have Parkinson\u2019s disease,\u201d the doctor replied. \u201cYou still have ten years of labor ahead of you, which is good news,\u201d he went on to say.<\/p>\n<p>Fox refused to accept his sickness, but he credits his wife\u2019s love and encouragement for getting him through the difficult days.<\/p>\n<p>Fox noted in an interview with Today, \u201cWe didn\u2019t know what to expect.\u201d Tracy\u2019s refusal to blink at that particular moment is one of the reasons I will always admire her.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3375\" src=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-267.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-267.png 768w, https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-267-300x200.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>They have regularly offered each other love and support for the past 35 years, and their relationship is still going strong.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pollan, \u201cI think we really listen to each other, and we are there for each other when we need each other.\u201d \u201cAnd then we give each other space when it\u2019s needed.\u201d Simply trying to be aware of the circumstance and what is required at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTracy provides our family with all they require. \u201cShe is the source of everything good in our family and everything we achieve,\u201d Fox added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3376\" src=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-268.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-268.png 692w, https:\/\/magicalworldss.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/image-268-208x300.png 208w\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"1000\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>In addition to announcing his retirement from acting in 2021, Fox said that he was \u201cnot gonna be 80\u201d and that his Parkinson\u2019s disease struggle was \u201cgetting tougher,\u201d but he was still \u201chappy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox\u2019s Michael J. Fox Foundation continues to sponsor research toward a cure or better therapies for Parkinson\u2019s disease.
