On the Facebook page that was set up to track Laura\u2019s progress and problems while she was still alive, her family shared the sad news.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was brave in battle, and you would all be so proud of her.\u201d \u201cUntil the very end, her poise, courage, strength, and pure spirit shone through,\u201d her family wrote.<\/p>\n

A lot of people loved the Nelson High School pupil. All the people she met were changed by her, and now it was her friends\u2019 turn to show her how much they loved her.<\/p>\n

There were notes on top of her casket that showed how grateful, loving, and sad they were that she had died.<\/p>\n

<\/ins><\/div>\n

They wanted Laura to have a farewell full of love, like a dear friend and student.<\/p>\n

On her casket were tributes written by her family, neighbors, classmates, teachers, and even the hospital staff.<\/p>\n

People sent so much love and support for Laura\u2019s family that they were overwhelmed when they saw her casket.<\/p>\n

<\/ins><\/div>\n

There was a message that said, \u201cYou were musical.\u201d You had artistic skills. You were getting it. You were my best friend. \u201cVery brave and strong,\u201d said someone else. \u201cYou\u2019ll always be a hero.\u201d<\/p>\n

People\u2019s clothes and the church were all purple, which is Laura\u2019s favorite color.<\/p>\n

Laura passed away, which was sad, but it was heartwarming to see how much love her community showed her.<\/p>\n

<\/ins><\/div>\n

May she rest in peace.<\/p>\n
