\u201cMaybe the second best day on the trail was the day my four-year-old walked into the back of the plane, the Trump Force Two plane, and told the media they were all fake news,\u201d he said to laughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then, not 15 minutes later, our German Shepherd puppy walked back there and took a (poop),\u201d the vice president-elect said to more laughs. \u201cI think that speaks to how we think of the fake news and this movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Vance praised Trump and said, \u201cWe just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUnder President Trump\u2019s leadership, we\u2019re never going to stop fighting for you, for your dreams, for the future of your children. And after the greatest political comeback in American history, we\u2019re going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history,\u201d Vance added.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Vance thanked his family and supporters after Republicans had a fantastic election night.<\/p>\n

\u201cTHANK YOU! To my beautiful wife for making it possible to do this. To President Donald J. Trump, for giving me such an opportunity to serve our country at this level. And to the American people, for their trust. I will never stop fighting for ALL of you,\u201d Vance tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

President-elect Donald Trump said \u201cGod spared [his] life for a reason\u201d during his victory speech at Trump Headquarters early Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n

Trump, who has been the target of two assassination attempts since July, shared his appreciation for a second presidency during his 25-minute speech from West Palm Beach, Florida.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to make America great again. And in addition to having won the battleground states of North Carolina \u2014 I love these places \u2014 Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, we are now winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, and Alaska, which would result in us carrying at least 315 electoral votes. But it\u2019s much easier doing what the networks did, or whoever called it, because there was no other path. There was no other path to victory. We also have won the popular vote. That was great. That was great,\u201d Trump said as the crowd cheered and chanted \u201cUSA! USA!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMany people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd now we are going to fulfill that mission together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you. Thank you very much. Winning the popular vote was very nice, I will tell you. It\u2019s a great feeling of love. We have a great feeling of love in this very large room, with unbelievable people standing by my side. These people have been incredible. They have made the journey with me and we are going to make you very happy. We will make you very proud of your vote,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that you\u2019re going to be looking back someday and say, \u2018That was one of the truly important moments of my life, when I voted for this group of people, beyond the president. This group of great people.\u2019 America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate. Wow, that\u2019s great,\u201d Trump declared.<\/p>\n
