{"id":2256,"date":"2024-01-18T22:20:16","date_gmt":"2024-01-18T22:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsx48.info\/?p=2256"},"modified":"2024-01-18T22:20:16","modified_gmt":"2024-01-18T22:20:16","slug":"chicken-chow-mein-with-the-best-chow-mein-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsx48.info\/?p=2256","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Chow Mein with the Best Chow Mein Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 lb chicken breast boneless, skinless<br \/>\n3 tbsp oil<br \/>\n12 oz chow mein noodles (uncooked noodles)<br \/>\n2 cups cabbage<br \/>\n1 large carrot julienned<br \/>\n1\/2 batch green onions<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves<\/p>\n<p>Chow Mein Sauce:<br \/>\n6 tbsp oyster sauce<br \/>\n3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce<br \/>\n3 tbsp light sesame oil (not toasted)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup chicken broth<br \/>\n1 tbsp cornstarch<br \/>\n1 tbsp granulated sugar<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-In a small mixing bowl, use a whisk to combine oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth and cornstarch. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>-Cook your noodles according to package instructions then drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>-Heat a large wok or pan with olive oil over medium-heat. Cut your chicken breasts into bite-sized strips and cook them in the oil until golden brown. Remove strips and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>-Add carrots, cabbage and pressed garlic and saute for a few minutes until veggies are slightly softened and the cabbage is a bit translucent.<\/p>\n<p>-Add chicken and noodles back into the pan.
