Carefree smiles and cheery demeanors are usually the standard for the entertainment industry\u2019s top dogs. After all, letting on that they\u2019re struggling with inner-conflict or, God forbid, going through a rough patch in life, usually results in endless headlines and a tirade of speculation based in the realms of nonsense.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, there are occasions when they can let their guard down, and\u00a0Jennifer Lopez<\/a>\u00a0appeared to do just that recently at the Golden Globes.<\/p>\n

There were many stories that came courtesy of the 2024 Golden Globes awards ceremony, but among the most heartwarming was the one involving Jennifer Lopez and Brie Larson<\/p>\n

The pair \u2013 both major stars in their own right \u2013 happened to cross paths on the red carpet, and their exchange went viral after Larson, 34, admitted that one of Lopez\u2019s films, 1997\u2019s\u00a0Selena<\/em>, was the main inspiration behind her own acting journey.<\/p>\n

Lopez was reduced to tears in the encounter, and later explained on a talk-show appearance how it had deeply affected her.<\/p>\n

For her part, Oscar winner Larson was in the middle of an interview with Entertainment Tonight when she saw Lopez approaching her. The\u00a0Avengers: Endgame\u00a0<\/em>star closed her eyes and said: \u201cOh my God. I\u2019m gonna cry. I can\u2019t deal with J. Lo.\u201d<\/p>\n

What followed was Larson showering Lopez with praise, telling the singer-come-actress: \u201cYou mean to much to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw\u00a0Selena<\/em>\u00a0and it made me want to be an actor. And you\u2019ve always meant so much to me,\u201d Larson gushed, to which Lopez replied: \u201cOh my God, don\u2019t make me cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Larson continued: \u201cYour work ethic is so important. Thank you. I\u2019ve been wanting to say that to you for a long time so I\u2019m really \u2014 I didn\u2019t think it was going to be right now. OK. I\u2019m gonna have to go do a shot of tequila or something.\u201d<\/p>\n

The impromptu meeting between the two power women was warmly received online, and Lopez later admitted to having been emotionally impacted by Larson\u2019s words.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt brings tears to my eyes now because it\u2019s very moving, because you give your heart and soul to this when you\u2019re an artist,\u201d she told Zane Lowe, adding: \u201cI remember being a little girl and watching\u00a0West Side Story<\/em>\u00a0and seeing\u00a0Rita Moreno\u00a0and knowing what that meant for me.\u201d<\/p>\n
