Unfortunately for this family, a rare complication took place and caused them to lose their loved one\u2026 Keep reading to know more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was Kelli Tyler\u2019s fifth time being pregnant. The young mother from Oklahoma was excited about being a mother for the fifth time. She was actively\u00a0posting\u00a0updates about her pregnancy.<\/p>\n

But shortly after giving birth for the fifth time, Kelli tragically passed away from a rare complication due to childbirth.<\/p>\n

Last week, Tyler\u00a0changed\u00a0her profile picture on Facebook as she prepared to give birth again. A day after that, she passed away.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe amniotic fluid got into Kelli\u2019s bloodstream [and] she was losing blood more than she could take in,\u201d Julie Roach, Tyler\u2019s\u00a0mother, explained. \u201cI think the last words my granddaughter said \u2014 she said \u2014 were, \u2018I\u2019m about to faint.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

An amniotic fluid embolism is a \u201cdangerous and life-threatening complication,\u201d according to the\u00a0Cleveland Clinic. It can happen when someone delivers a\u00a0baby\u00a0or shortly after they give birth.<\/p>\n

The reason it can be deadly is because it is \u201cvery difficult to diagnose because the symptoms can be similar to other serious complications during\u00a0childbirth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The website for the Cleveland Clinic says this is why \u201cfor reasons that are mostly unknown, some people have a severe allergic response to amniotic fluid mixing with their blood.\u201d This can lead to cardiac arrest, uncontrolled breathing, or lung failure.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would come around for a minute or so and she would code again,\u201d Roach\u00a0recalled\u00a0her daughter\u2019s final moments.<\/p>\n

Tyler was giving birth to her daughter Jalie at the time. It is not yet known whether Jalie will have any long-term health complications because of her traumatic birth. The family won\u2019t know \u201cuntil she grows up some more.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJalie won\u2019t get to know her mom in person. but she\u2019s gonna know her mom. We have pictures, we have recordings that we\u2019re going to play over and over,\u201d Roach said.<\/p>\n

The family set up a\u00a0GoFundMe fundraiser\u00a0to help with the unexpected medical costs and everyday costs for the upkeep of the newborn and family as they go through this traumatic time. The fundraiser was started a week ago, and has raised three times the amount it had set out to raise.<\/p>\n
