Prince Harry and\u00a0Meghan<\/a>\u00a0Markle, who welcomed their first child son Archie in May 2019, have been careful to limit the photos that are published of him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Usually, they are not sharing any details about Archie \u2013 but recently, his father revealed a fact no one knew about\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Archie\u00a0Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 6 May 2019 at the\u00a0Portland Hospital\u00a0in London.<\/p>\n

Today, he is sixth in the\u00a0line of succession to the British throne. Following Royal Family tradition the couple released the first image of the sweet boy on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>,\u00a0two days after his arrival in 2019.<\/p>\n

Alongside pictures of a beaming Prince Harry holding his son and arm in arm with Meghan, the post read: \u201cToday The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to share their first public moment as a family.<\/p>\n

They then followed the post up with a\u00a0picture of the Queen<\/a>\u00a0meeting her new grandson alongside Harry and Meghan\u2019s mom Doria Ragland revealing his full name Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.<\/p>\n

Two months after his birth, Archie was\u00a0christened\u00a0by\u00a0the Archbishop of Canterbury, during a private ceremony in the chapel at\u00a0Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n

The little toddler wore the\u00a0royal christening gown and was christened with water from the\u00a0River Jordan. Harry and Meghan kept to traditions \u2013 but refused\u00a0to make the identities of Archie\u2019s\u00a0godparents public.<\/p>\n

In September 2019, the couple would delight fans again by releasing a series of images from their time in South Africa to meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.<\/p>\n

Archie has already experienced a lot. During his first year in life, he accompanied his parents on their Southern African tour and has been to Malawi, Angola, South Africa, and Botswana.<\/p>\n

In retrospect, however, Meghan had a lot to say about the time after Archie was born, revealing some shocking details.<\/p>\n

It all began when Harry and Meghan sat down with TV host Oprah in the garden of her home in Montecito, California. They proceeded to spill the truth about their experiences within The Firm.<\/p>\n

Meghan Markle didn\u2019t hold back, revealing that Prince Charles was refusing to take Harry\u2019s phone calls and stating that Kate Middleton had made her cry over the flower-girl dresses on her wedding day \u2013 this was in direct contradiction to earlier claims made by the tabloids.<\/p>\n

However, the most shocking part occurred when Meghan claimed conversations had taken place within the palace concerning how dark Archie\u2019s skin would be.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were concerned that if he were too brown, that that would be a problem?\u201d Oprah asked Meghan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t able to follow up with why,\u201d Meghan replied. \u201cBut that \u2014 if that\u2019s the assumption you\u2019re making, I think that feels like a pretty safe one.\u201d<\/p>\n

She declined to name a specific person who had commented, adding only: \u201cI think that would be very damaging to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Archie, 3, is entitled to be the Earl of Dumbarton, but his parents have reportedly declined the honorary\u00a0title.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s thought that Harry and Meghan made the decision so that Archie\u00a0will never have<\/a>\u00a0royal engagements, duties, or patronages. Instead, the couple has formed their own charitable organization\u00a0Archewell<\/a>\u00a0which focuses on conservation, female empowerment, and gender equality.<\/p>\n

Back in January 2020,\u00a0Prince Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a>\u00a0shocked the world when they announced their decision to step back from royal life and become \u201cfinancially independent.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hostile treatment of the couple by the British tabloid press was one of the motivations behind \u201dMegxit\u201d, according to reports. It has also been speculated that perceived racism towards Meghan also played a part in the decision, according to\u00a0MSNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meghan is often singled out as the driving force behind the break-off from the British royal family. The decision to move to the beach town Santa Barbara outside of Los Angeles was made with their young son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, in mind. According to sources,\u00a0Meghan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Harry<\/a>\u00a0wanted their son to grow up in a big house \u2013close to all the elements of nature.<\/p>\n

\u201cArchie is really happy, and he has some space to run free. The house came with a play structure that he\u2019ll be climbing in no time,\u201d an insider told\u00a0Harpers Bazaar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re excited to be there and to become part of the community. It\u2019s a really happy time for them as a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does Archie look like his dad?<\/h2>\n

Many royal fans have speculated as to which side of the family Archie is most like but as all parents know babies change every day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re still trying to figure that out,\u201d Meghan said, according to\u00a0People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone says babies change so much over two weeks,\u201d\u00a0Harry said<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month, really. His looks are changing every single day, so who knows?\u201d<\/p>\n
