I love watching toddlers dance in public. There\u2019s just something about their moves that is so freeing to everyone watching, it\u2019s as if they\u2019re saying, \u201cHey, if I can do this, you can too.\u201d<\/p>\n
This video shows a boy who\u2019s been dubbed \u201cHayes, the Amazing Dancing Toddler.\u201d Since his grandmother Michele Theriault-Reynolds is the videographer, she\u2019s probably the one who gave him that nickname. But it\u2019s appropriate given his dancing skill.<\/p>\n
Hayes is only 17 months old but he\u2019s certainly been learning and practicing his dancing skills.<\/p>\n
The video was taken at the Dunnville Farmers\u2019 Market in Dunnville, Ontario, Canada in April 2022. The singer is Victor Morgado, a local performer, who obviously knows how to make his dancing customers happy.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s singing \u201cYou Are My Sunshine,\u201d a classic American folk song that was first recorded in the 1930s. The song actually has an interesting history: the original authorship is somewhat disputed, but it is generally credited to Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell. Jimmie Davis, a country music singer and later governor of Louisiana, recorded the song in 1940 and it became a hit.<\/p>\n
