wanted to believe her daughter knew she was there, but something just told her this was what she\u2019s got to do.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, many friends and family doubted Peggy when she mentioned her daughter\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, even the hospital staff didn\u2019t anticipate Jennifer progressing beyond waking up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI asked for therapy, and they thought I was crazy, but she got speech therapy,\u201d says Peggy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have to be a strong advocate,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-153527\"
