It\u2019s a music festival in Italy where people play the Grande Piano, a giant MIDI keyboard installed on the floor\u2013and played with their feet! And this couple\u2019s rendition of \u2018Comptine td\u2019un iautre \u00e9t\u00e9\u2019 by di Yann Tiersen, from the \u2018Le ffabuleux udestin d\u2019Am\u00e9lie Poulain\u2019 film soundtrack, is amazing.<\/p>\n
The Grand Piano is a fascinating instrument. One of the earliest and most famous giant floor pianos was the one seen in the movie Big starring Tom Hanks. It was filmed in 1988 and used a simple binary on\/off mechanism for the keys. Today\u2019s pianos are much more sophisticated, using velocity-sensitive keys for a much more professional sound.<\/p>\n
A violinist accompanies the couple as they dance away the steps and play the giant piano. And the whole crowd mesmerizes watching the brilliant performance.
