She died in a hospital in Eastbourne, East Sussex, with her husband Ken by her side. She was 71 years old.
She was “the perfect girl next door” and a “miner’s daughter from the northern pits who dared to dream,” he said.

Ken, a 79-year-old former Sun photographer, said that Angela was seen by a modeling agency after she moved to Manchester. She was born in Sunderland.
What he said was, “She knew she couldn’t stay there and marry a miner.”

“A modeling agency saw her when she moved to Manchester.”
“Right away, she was so good at it. So young-looking.
Angela was just about ready to go. A lot of the models take two hours to get ready.

“The first time I saw her, she was wearing jeans and a dirty t-shirt, but she looked beautiful anyway.”
“That’s when I knew she was the one.”
