Manhattan Judge Juan Merchan has set the date for sentencing in the case against President-elect Donald Trump that was brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and he added a surprise announcement.
He set the date for January 10, a week before Trump’s inauguration, but indicated that there would not be any time in jail associated with the punishment as the president-elect continues to appeal the verdict, The Associated Press reported.
