After a 100-minute meeting with Senate Republicans, President-elect Donald Trump praised what he described as a “very strong” discussion about how to carry out his agenda.
At the U.S. Capitol, Trump paid his respects to the late Jimmy Carter just feet away before briefly discussing the encounter with reporters. For a brief moment, Trump fielded questions about the California wildfires, border security, and even former Republican Representative Liz Cheney.
