After a grueling day on a construction site under the blazing sun, Thomas was walking home down a narrow alley. That’s when he heard a faint child’s cry. Approaching, he saw a luxury car parked with all its windows closed, baking in the 34°C heat. Inside was a baby, clearly in distress: sweating, dry lips, barely conscious.
Thomas tried the doors — locked. Without hesitation, he grabbed a stone and struck the window. One, two, three strong hits… until it shattered. He unfastened the child’s seatbelt and ran, baby in arms, to the nearest clinic.
Doctors confirmed the child was suffering from severe heatstroke and wouldn’t have survived more than a few minutes in the stifling car, where interior temperatures had risen above 60°C.
