After receiving an anonymous tip, the team from Cordele Animal Shelter set out to rescue the vulnerable puppy. Once they located him, they shared his plight on social media, accompanied by heartbreaking photos that quickly captured public attention.

“This poor soul urgently needs a loving home where he can rediscover the love and care he has long been denied,” shared one of the rescuers from the shelter.

The puppy was affectionately nicknamed “Cocaine” by the rescue team. Despite the harrowing ordeal he had endured, the little dog showed incredible resilience. After his rescue, he was placed in a temporary home, where he began his journey of recovery
